Interview.

I had a one on one interview with a boy I knew. He didn't want to be on camera or even to be voice recorded, but he said that I could have an interview. His name was Michael or Mickey as a nickname. He used to be in gang and have committed crimes such as robbery and other petty crimes like robbery of a push bikes etc.

So I asked Michael a few questions.

Connor: How did you get being into a gang?

Michael: I'm not sure, just happened and it was something to do with mates.

Connor: Did you feel that'd you belong within the gang?

Michael: Yeah because we were all close friends, we all knew that we had each other’s backs.

Connor: What did you do for entertainment?

Michael: Not much we use to just hang around outside shops for hours each night.

Connor: Did you do any crimes.

Michael: Yeah I did do a few crimes which I'm not proud of now; we did a lot of petty crimes like robbing push bikes for one.

Connor: Did you ever rob a house or anything?

Michael: Yeah we robbed a house once; it was an old ladies house. We knew she lived alone because we see her go into her house and around the estate and she was always on her own. We had a TV, money and jewellery.

I'm not proud of this Michael said. He also went on about his problems with the police. Michael said that he wasn't involved with a gang or any one in a gang no more. He also went on how he changed his life around by getting a job. He also said that he'd love to apologize to the old woman that he and the gang robbed from, but he said he was too scared to at the moment and also he would get into a lot of trouble,

I could have stayed talking to Michael for ages but we didn't have enough time because Michael had to go to work.
