A practice film for our silent film.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYIWKXpyMEo
Another film that we have done, this shows a gang of boys messing with fireworks near a house/flats when a woman walks past and sees them doing in and rushes into her house/flat. Then we see the woman's reaction to the fireworks that she sees.

Stereotypes
Cultural reference / stereotypes
Teenage boys in gang usually get stereotyped and judged before they do anything because they have there hoods up and they look menacing to all ranges of people.
Most people judge gangs of teenagers because they seem menacing and threatening to everyone.
Young people get judge if they are wearing a tracksuit and people are often quick to judge them on their appearance before they even know anything about them.
A quote from Jimi Hendrix "Every city in the world always has a gang or gangs, or so called the outcast".
A stat from the Guardian " Last year, more than 1.5 million Britons thought about moving house to escape young people hanging around, and 1.7 million avoided going out after dark for the same reason "
We want to capture the obvious stereotypes of teenager gangs member without showing any gang violence at all, but we want to show how menacing and threatening that they are.
We also want to capture a different side to stereotype to show the audience/viewers that there is a different side to the stereotype.
Old/ elderly people usually get scared and feel vulnerable when around a large teenagers/ gangs of boys in hoodies etc. Because in Certain areas of the city teenage boys usually hang around with the mates in gangs, on street corners or outside corner shops etc.

Another day of filming.
When we editing the film we thought had enough footage but that wasn't the case we needed more footage.
So we arrange another day to film some extra footage.
So we decided to show one of the boys next day dilemma. We followed one of the boys.
We show that one of the boys have acknowledged what he has done. We filmed under a bridge next to the river. We show that the boys feels guilty and doesn't know what to do.
We decided not for the boy to change his clothes for the next day scene.
So we filmed the boy walking down step of the bridge and going directly straight under the bridge towards the river. As the boy is walking to the river he takes down his hood and rubs his head and face.
Next we had the boy leaning over a fence looking at the floor. Then the boy climbs over the fence and stood looking at the river.
We see the boy pull jewelry out of his pocket and throw some into the river.
When he has thrown the objects into the river he puts his hood back up and walks off.
We thought that this would show character development, for example it shows him being arrogant and robbing an house to feeling guilty of what he had done the back to being arrogant of the robbery.
